Dress Reinventions - Taking your heirloom piece and turning it into something modern.

Dress Reinventions

Dress reinventions are more of a step by step process allowing our clients the ability to visualize the change in garment at each stage. This process sometimes requires more fittings, but all changes are approved by client before completion. Prices for dress reinventions will also be quoted after the initial consultation, based on desired vision of the reinvention. We ask for a 6-8 week lead time for dress reinventions, but are willing to take on time with a shorter lead time though a rush fee will be charged.

Perfectly altering an existing gown or adding an accessory to have the bride to be her best self.
We offer professional bridal alteration services in Birmingham, AL.

Bridal Alterations

Alterations are done based on an hourly rate, which is quoted at the Initial Alteration Consult. It is at this point, Ashley will be able to understand what needs to be done and know how much time it will take. Our alteration rate is $65/hour for sewing and $75/hour for any patterning work adding a sleeve to your strapless dress, a lace overlay, etc. Ashley will be able to correctly quote your item and needs at the consultation.

We ask for a 6-8 week lead time, allowing us to properly fit you. We also recommend dress pick ups to be no later than 2 weeks before your wedding date, as this gives us time to make last minute changes if need be. Hence, we have had brides at the last minute decide to wear flats at their dress pick up. This 2 week window allowed us to properly finish the garment without being rushed.

Rush fees will be applied to any project taken on less than 6 weeks from the event date.

Initial Alteration Consult. Discussion of goal setting, 1st fitting, and quote.

Initial Construction. Completing work discussed and approved in 1st fitting.

Fitting. 2nd fitting where any design changes can be made and bustle pinning.

Final construction of gown, with any changes from the second fitting and sewing of bustle.

Final Pickup.
